Please Advise: The WOTC program is set to expire on December 31st, 2025. The federal funding for the continuation of the WOTC program starting January 1st, 2026, has yet to be authorized by Congress. As a result, the Mississippi Department of Employment Security will be unable to officially process, certify, or deny, applications for WOTC-related tax credits or process out-of-state requests for information for applicants who began employment on or after January 1st, 2026, until further notice. The WOTC online system will remain functional and able to accept applications and out-of-state requests, but no official action will be taken on those applications and/or requests.
